In the latter case, we would look for accuracy (missing/added words, mistranslations) and consistency issues (are important terms translated consistently and do they match the glossary?).

While we may offer to fix grammatical mistakes and obvious mistranslations, the cost will be significantly higher than it would be for a properly translated text. Even then, the final result is likely to be less natural than what a human native translator would produce.

Do you guarantee the final text will be perfect if you proofread it?
When proofreading, we will check your documents and fix any irrefutable issues we can find. Typos, grammar/syntax issues, wrong use of tenses, inconsistencies, punctuation mistakes, etc. If your goal is to have a final text of the highest quality possible, please ask for a text revision. We will do our best to polish the Japanese copy – this will however take more time and cost more.
